There are actually numerous possibilities to how people regard something as being vintage. For my friend, personally, it is the usage of certain method of color assignment to the interior arrangement, in combination with featuring of complementary details with molding that are familiar with the vintage concept. This yields the designing of his new vintage bedroom, which comprises extensive modern elements with antique molding as the finishing touch.
The Arrangement of the Vintage Bedroom Interior
Despite its limited space, my friend is able to make use of its interior arrangement in providing a luxurious look, turning the segment into a classy bedroom. In fact, it is perhaps important to note that the actual interior segment which is later transformed into a bedroom is a spacious long rectangular dimension room which is divided into two. The creative part is in the segmentation process, which is done by putting a reflective glass panel in between the two segments.
As for the interior layout of the bedroom. My friend assigns normal construction combination of concrete for the wall and ceiling, and wooden flooring for the base layer. The vintage look is firstly existent through the cement detail of wavy balcony style assigned to the four corners of the bedroom interior. The glass window overlooking to the outside is covered with soft curtain of black color, similar to the color of the hardwood flooring.
The Furnishing of the Vintage Bedroom
The bedroom features mainly two functional items. However, since the ones bearing the vintage attribute are mostly its complementary decorative items, they are actually worth more the mention. An example would be the chandelier hanging upon the ceiling. Instead of picking up from the selection of modern lamp, my friend picks a Victorian styled chandelier. Another example would be the bed lamp gracing right beside the bed, also coming in Victorian design, although constructed by mostly glasses.
